Despite the challenges of this past year and the last minute cancellation of our live event due to local restrictions, we were thrilled with the success of Run for ALD 2020! We are so grateful to our record number of sponsors (see them below), participants, and generous donors who all came through to make this past year our biggest with $32,000 raised for the boys!!! Our total now raised to date for ALD Research at the University of Minnesota is $75,000 to help benefit ALD boys from all over the U.S. and the world through research projects that focus on better treatments and outcomes for ALD boys. in 2020, we were also thrilled to mentor and help Minnesota ALD families (X out ALD) create their first fundraising event. Knockout ALD was the nonprofit host for their first Outrun ALD Virtual 5K in September which raised over $120,000 for ALD research also at the University of Minnesota! What an amazing year for ALD fundraising and research!
We are currently planning our 5th Annual Run for ALD, Cure the Boys for Nov. 20, 2021! Stay tuned for more details and how to register.
