Knockout ALD is a non-profit dedicated to raising awareness of and funds for adrenoleukodystrophy research.
Knockout ALD is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your generous gift is tax-deductible and will help us fund research projects at the University of Minnesota (a world leader in ALD treatment and research) that are working to improve treatments options that lead to better outcomes for ALD boys.
Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) is a rare, genetic disease that progressively damages the adrenal glands, spinal cord, and myelin of the nervous system. It most severely affects boys, but can cause a range of neurological and physical symptoms in men and women. Early diagnosis and treatment is key, especially with cerebral ALD which can be fatal if not treated early.

Thank you for making our 8th Annual Run for ALD another huge success! With over 500 participants from near and far, 20 teams, and 17 sponsors, we raised over $40,000 and counting for ALD research! As donations continue to roll in along with company matches, our total lifetime funds raised for ALD research at the University of Minnesota Leukodystrophy Center has exceeded $300,000! These funds help to push forward research that is working towards better treatments and better outcomes for ALD boys. THANK YOU!
Donations can be made anytime throughout the year through our Paypal link above or by Venmo @KnockoutALD.
