Knockout ALD is a non-profit dedicated to raising awareness of and funds for adrenoleukodystrophy research.
Knockout ALD is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your generous gift is tax-deductible and will help us fund research projects at the University of Minnesota (a world leader in ALD treatment and research) that are working to improve treatments options that lead to better outcomes for ALD boys. Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) is a rare, progressive X-linked genetic disease that most severely affects boys. Without early diagnosis and treatment, boys with cerebral ALD eventually lose all neurological functions. Please click the "About Us" tab above to learn about our cause, our Run for ALD, our partners, and other ways to help.

Our 7th Annual Run for ALD, Cure the Boys was our biggest and best yet! In November, 642 participants ran and walked in person and virtually to support many ALD families and to honor boys we have lost.
All funds raised will go to support ALD research at the University of Minnesota Leukodystrophy Center. Thanks to our many generous donors and our twenty-three sponsors, our lifetime total giving to the University of Minnesota's Leukodytrophy Center for ALD Research will be nearing a quarter of a million dollars! These funds help to push forward research that is working towards better treatments and better outcomes for ALD boys.
Thank you to all those who helped make our 7th annual event a HUGE success!
